The Nordic Exchanges: Nokia sinker in Finland – Dagens Industri

In Finland, H25 by 0.6 percent, the largest sinker was Nokia. This morning’s press release stating that the telecom company are discussing a merger with telecom equipment giant Alcatel-Lucent, Nokia took 3.6 percent lower. Behind the movement was concern that the deal might slow the Nokia advancing the mobile market in favor of Ericsson and Huawei.

“If Nokia acquires entire Alcatel-Lucent, it means completely new conditions. It is the largest acquisition Nokia ever done and involves high risks but also opportunities for a great merit, “said Nordea analyst Sami Sarkamies to Direkt.
