China, Pakistan billion initiative – Hufvudstadsbladet

The Chinese President Xi Jinping’s got a lavish reception when he was on Monday landed at Nur Khan’s airbase, near Islamabad, Pakistan.

The Chinese President was welcomed by including Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif when he began his two-day stay in the country.

President Xi is expected to announce China’s largest single investment in another country – a modern equivalent of the medieval trade route Silk Road . China plans to add equivalent to 300 billion to create a 300 mil long trading relationship between Xinjiang in northwest China and the Bay of Bengal.
