Large Fire in apartment buildings in Karlstad – Aftonbladet

A large fire ravaged the night in a multi-family property in Karlstad.

38 people were forced to flee their homes.

The alarm about the fire in Herrhagen came at 23:57. Then, according to the first data covering a fire at a patio at a terraced house on four homes, according to police.

– In three of them thats the ceiling, says Bjarne Andersson, duty officer at the Värmland police.

The fire was severe and fully developed in the property’s attic.

Under control

The Rescue worked overnight to fully extinguish the fire, and at 03 o’clock was it under control.

According to Swedish Radio Värmland, it should stay 38 people in the affected addresses, but police say that no one got hurt.

Those who had to leave their homes were last night using the municipal crisis staff and Herrhagskyrkan opened to take the them.

The cause of the fire is unclear and police, as usual in such cases prepared a report regarding arson.

Fire place has been cordoned off for forensic examination.
