On Friday morning got it exchanged a EUR only 1,20 USD. The value of the euro against the dollar was the lowest in four years.
One of the reasons for the weak euro is Mario Draghi statements. The Italian head of the European Central Bank said in an interview for the German Handelsblatt that there is an increasing risk that the bank can not stand surety for a stable price level.
The euro area has for some time been dangerously close to deflation – falling prices. Deflation generally get ordinary citizens to postpone their purchases and can affect the economy very negatively. In November, prices remain, but inflation was on the decline. It was just 0.3 percent.
