Fewer bankruptcies than expected in 2014 – Swedish Radio

There were fewer companies went bankrupt last year than the year before. A decrease of 5.7 percent, according to figures from the business and credit information company UC owned by the Swedish banks.

The trend follows the trend of recent years, but was nevertheless a clear reduction than UC anticipated says makrnadschef Roland Sigbladh.

– We have had a strong private consumption in Sweden favoring those industries that expose their services to private individuals. Among other retail.

2014 has been a good year for Swedish industry summarizes Roland Sigbladh. Many companies nyregistrerardes, while a total of 6563 companies went bankrupt and this is thus a decrease compared to 2013.

Last year, fell bankruptcies in all major industries. Best was blah for security firms, companies in the property services and retail. Sluggish, there have only been for the construction industry, including sales of motor vehicles and car service.

– If you look at the construction industry and commerce, it’s very many players in the industries. And it may be an establishment that provides exclusion.

It is also clear regional differences in bankruptcies. Gotland and Jönköping County has the best performance, while Dalarna, and Norrbotten is at the bottom.

UC estimates that bankruptcies will decline next year at about the same rate as this year, says Roland Sigbladh.

– There is thus a reduction of between 5 and 6 percent. A continued strong economy, and a continued stakt private consumption.
