The company put 32 percent of its revenue on salaries and pensions last year, Ryanair adds 9.5 percent and Norwegian 17.4 percent, according to the report.
SAS personnel costs which is about three times as much as Ryanair’s employees, and twice as much on Norwegian writes NTB.
The differences between the airlines is also great in terms of revenue per employee. Topping the list is Spanish Vueling, which draws nearly 60 000 per employee, compared to 55,000 in Norwegian and 52,000 in Ryanair. SAS generates revenue of EUR 33 000 per employee, while other classic airlines KLM, Air France and Lufthansa is even worse at around EUR 20 000 per employee.
