The Danish operator TDC has agreed to acquire the Norwegian cable company Get for about 12.5 billion Danish crowns. The deal is financed by new bonds.
TDC shares fell 6.9 percent after the announcement, which means a price drop of 15 percent since the announcement on August 7 that TDC lost two government contracts and looks to be forced to lower prices on their broadband offerings next year.
TDC’s purchase of Get is expected in the fourth quarter of this year, but the deal must be approved by the competition authorities to be completed.
