Microsoft Founder forced to yield on the tank – Swedish Dagbladet

Paul Allen co-founder of software giant Microsoft, has two major interests: sports and military history. He owns several successful teams, including basketball’s Portland Trail Blazers and the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, and run a company that buys military equipment and lease to a museum. But now one of his great passions come to cost him dearly, and forced into Allen in an infected litigation.

It’s all about a German tank of 27.6 tonnes from other World War I, called a Panzer IV. Paul Allen claims that he bought the tank in July, but the previous owner says that the purchase never took place. When the previous owner, an organization that preserves and looks after war historical artifacts, decided to sell armored tank in July, Allen for a low bid. After negotiations with representatives from the auction house currently ending price of $ 2.5 million, one million more than what Allen was going to pay from the beginning.

After the purchase been through did the previous owner of an about-face, and said that they did not approve a sale of the Panzer IV vehicle. And so is the situation now. Allen is no tank, and the case is now before the Court in San Mateo County. Paul Allen is known in the legal system in the past. A few years ago he strove for a patent which overnight made him Silicon Valley’s biggest enemy.
