Rail traffic rolls back on Western Main Line – Gothenburg Post

Signal and gear faults in Western main line is now completely fixed and rail service rolls properly.

There were major delays in rail traffic on Thursday. The reason was a Gear fault in Jonsered, after a signal failure at the same stretch of track.

According to the Transport Administration touched all rail against Alingsås and traffic towards Skövde and further north towards Stockholm.

In the afternoon, were commuter trains between Alingsås and Gothenburg into the stage Lerum Gothenburg, regional trains to Stockholm were In the Göteborg-Alingsås.

Fast trains continued to run the entire distance but with delays of up to an hour. Between the hours of 20-20.30 traffic was completely off the site remain.

After the gear fault was rectified got Transport Administration technicians take on a signal failure on the track. According to the press on call will signal the error hopefully be corrected to 05 o’clock on Friday and did not affect train traffic significantly.

According Västtrafik was delayed and canceled trains on the route Gothenburg-Alingsås. Alingsås pendulum was set between Gothenburg and Lerum.

Regional trains and Kinnekullebanan have were also recorded.

Buses replaced for commuter rail between Gothenburg Lerum.

Buses replaced Kinnekullebanan line 3305 and 3306 at the Göteborg-Alingsås.

The municipalities are Gothenburg with, Alingsås, Herrljunga, Skövde and Töreboda.
