To combat the obesity of Americans promise the country’s largest soft drink manufacturers to cut down on the number of calories in their products in the United States. The goal is to caloric intake from sweet drinks by 20 percent per person by 2025 behind the initiative including Pepsi and Coca-Cola, who struggled with reduced profitability in the domestic market in recent times.
To achieve this goal, the companies start to use less packaging and introduce – and market – more lågkalorialternativ.
