Company sued for disreputable telemarketing – Sveriges Radio

Carolina Andersson processråd the Consumer Ombudsman. She calls the three companies to extreme abuses of telephone sales.

– They have done very ugly infringements. They have directed themselves toward older people and often sick people, and cheated on them various forms of subscriptions, she says.

In total, there have been in nearly 300 complaints against the three companies. The lawsuits claim the Consumer Ombudsman, among other things, that each of the companies to pay a million crowns in a market disruption charge.

In addition, would KO the people behind the companies should be held personally responsible for marketing, to prevent them to continue with the same type of business practices in other companies.

– They have been with the company before and done exactly the same types of infringement. Then you put the company into bankruptcy, and so start to a new company and commit new offenses, kids new consumers.

Carolina Andersson KO says that this is a way to stop the people, so that they will not be able to do so more.
