News. The strike is over in the painting industry – new paint contracts signed.

the agreement in brief

the agreement runs from april 1, 2016 to and including april 30, 2017.

In short, the agreement means:

• 13 month contract so that the export industry can put the brand in peace and quiet 2017.

 

• Contract value is 2.2 percent at 12 months, and lists of 2.38 percent in 13 months.

 
• The salary increase will not take effect until 25 April due to the Painters’ Union effected its strike notice.

 
• The parties will jointly monitor developments and possible consequences of TYCO judgment of the Agreement Council painting. Arising discussion on the application of the Working Time Directive should Confederation of Swedish Enterprise and LO consulted.

 
• Right to deferred notice of pregnancy monetary

 

• Reduced working hours increased by two hours (which is deducted salary space).

 
• Party Joint work around staff areas, new statistics agreements and
  industry adaptation of further training for safety representatives.

 

Painting Enterprises and the Swedish Painters’ Union has for further mediation agreed a new 13-month contract. The ongoing strike thus cease immediately. Contract value is 2.2 percent at 12 months, and listed on 2:38 per cent in 13 months.

– We are of course delighted that we have finally come to an agreement. It would have been devastating if the strike had lasted longer. We also held the mark, which means that the wage increase will not be higher than for the industry, says Björn Hellman, president of Painting Companies in Sweden.
