Victor Muller, Saab’s former Chairman and CEO, dismisses in a comment to the newspaper Dagens Industri prosecutor Olof Sahlgrens statements about him in the investigation into Saab Automobile.
Muller along with former CEO Jan Ake Jonsson and the company’s General Counsel Kristina Geers indicted by the Vanersborg District Court for serious evasion of tax and rough scam.
the prosecutor’s description is “total nonsense”, said Muller to Dagens Industri, and considers it “inconceivable” that the prosecutor “wasting taxpayers’ money” to pursue the case.
According to the chief prosecutor Olof Sahlgren, the defendants provided the media with misleading information in the spring of 2011, when they claimed that Saab had good liquidity. Later it emerged that the company had accounts payable 695 million. Autumn 2015 was the first indictment in the investigation and in the past week was charged Muller, Jonsson and Geers again.
