County Governors fight for Jokkmokk job – Västerbotten Courier

Economy. After the publicity surrounding the State Vattenfall plans to outsource 40 services Jokkmokk doing now Norrbotten County governor Sven-Erik Österberg common cause with his predecessor Per-Ola Eriksson. The jobs to be saved!

Eriksson visiting Jokkmokk on Monday and Osterberg be the end of the week to discuss the issue with Industry Minister Mikael Damberg, said Swedish Television News.

– All 40 jobs is extremely costly for a small municipality of Jokkmokk. I can promise that I will do everything I can to this story will have a happy ending and that is Vattenfall says, nothing is decided, and no decision is taken, says Sven-Erik Österberg to SVT.

– this is the most important issue for me in the fall, because that is when this will be decided.

Vattenfall has long been squeezed financially, among other things, by the low electricity prices and the so called lignite affair. The company makes a comprehensive review of the business and as much as 2 000 jobs may be lost.

The 40 jobs in Jokkmokk is part of Vattenfall account invoice insertion operations. After plans for cuts became known, started a protest group on Facebook that collected most of Jokkmokk municipality around 5000 inhabitants.
