160 employees will lose their job – Sveriges Radio

After four months Negotiations between unions and employers on the truck manufacturer Kalmar Lidhult has now been completed, it is clear that 160 employees will lose their jobs.

– I think it is positive that we have been able to reduce the effect of it all, says division manager Dan Pettersson at Kalmar.

the end result was 160 and not 190 people have multiple causes.

– One thing is that people have found new jobs, both internally and outside Kalmar. We have also managed to solve it with individual solutions, including pension plans, says Dan Pettersson.

Some staff have chosen to follow to Poland as well.

– Yes, a few, but we were happy to see that more people do it, he says.

the factory will be phased out gradually and production of forklifts moved to the Kalmar plant in Stargard Poland starting in the fall.
