Ratos will pick the new CEO of Byggmax – Private Businesses

Magnus Agervald has operational experience in both investment and has led companies with strong growth and high rate of change, which was a major reason for the appointment.

the Board has decided to appoint Magnus Agervald new CEO of Ratos from by January 2017. Magnus Agervald most recent role as President & amp; CEO of listed Byggmax Group.

– The Board has worked hard to find the right CEO for the next phase in Ratos development. We are delighted that Magnus now assume the position as CEO of Ratos. He has operational experience in both investment and has led companies with strong growth and high rate of change. Magnus leadership is Ratos need for the continued implementation of our strategy, says Jonas Wiström Chairman.

Magnus Agervald has been President & amp; CEO of listed Byggmax Group since 2008 and previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & amp; Company, Investment Manager at Nordic venture capital firm founded IDI and Icomera, a company engaged in mobile Internet. He is 41 and has an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics and an MSc from the Royal Institute of Technology.

– I am happy and proud to have been selected to Ratos. It feels inspiring and challenging to have received the Board’s confidence to continue developing the investment company Ratos. Just as Ratos, I am passionate about building companies and look forward to supporting our portfolio companies in the long-term and sustainable business development, says Magnus Agervald, the incoming CEO.

In connection with Magnus Agervalds access the latest in January 2017 returned to acting CEO Lars Johansson to his previous role as Investment Director at Ratos.

The process to find a new president and CEO of Byggmax will begin immediately and is headed by the Chairman, Anders Moberg.
