House prices in the EU rose by 3 percent in the first quarter of 2016 compared to the same period last year, now show aggregate statistics from Eurostat.
as usual, Sweden is one of the countries where prices are rising the most – by 12.5 per cent – although the prices actually rise even more in Hungary (15.2 percent) and Austria (13.4 percent).
in the other direction Italy and Cyprus, where house prices fell by 1.2 percent compared with 2015. at the same time, however, missing statistics for the crisis-hit Greece.
