Fewer applying for debt restructuring – Västerbotten Courier

Fewer applying for debt restructuring at the Swedish Enforcement Authority. Since the beginning of the year has been reduced by ten percent, reports SR echo.

The decline may be due to more waiting in new and more generous rules coming this fall, which includes two payment-free months of the year: June and December. But it only applies to new applications after November 1.

– Especially for a family, it’s incredibly valuable to keep all their income to the holiday and Christmas. So I understand that you argue like that, says Lena Svensson, budget and debt advisor in Haninge municipality, to echo.

The amendment is part of the government’s strategy to combat over-indebtedness. The new rules also make it easier to apply for debt settlement and you will be able to use the bailiff as a payment intermediary.
