Tuborgh: Sweden boss did not want to switch tasks – Farming

– That’s not all, says Peder Tuborgh.

He thinks Arla in Sweden has managed the media storm triggered by including SVT’s Mandate review.

“management of the business’

– They have handled the whole affair well. A professional conduct by Arla management in Sweden, says Peder Tuborgh.

The work of Arla Foods reorganization started in 2015 with the strategy which has led to a new strategy and the now presented the organizational model. The design of the organization is changed from countries divided into at be more specific function.

– We have had the current organizational model since 2008 and it has worked well. With a new strategy, it was time to review the organization.

One of the measures was to reduce the number of members of the Group management from nine to seven. And then Henri Sauvage one of those who disappeared from the line.

Did not switch tasks

To further emphasize that Henri Sauvage has not been poked or sidestepped explains Peder Turborg to Henri Sauvage got the ability to remain in the group management if he wanted to but it assumed new duties.

– but he did not. Henri Sauvage chose to remain as manager in Sweden and the Nordic region.

500 of the group’s 7000 employees will lose their jobs. Peder Tuborgh can in the current situation does not say how it strikes in different countries.

– But it will be fairly evenly distributed between countries and different functions in the organization. About 3-4 weeks, I can say more.

Nationality specialty

The new group management is dominated by the Danes, which is a Swedish and a person from the United States. Five of them are men, two women.

In Sweden there is a criticism of the great Danish influence in Arla Foods. Peder Tuborgh does not recognize such criticism: The Danes have taken over.

– I have not heard the term “Danes take over.” We have increased the number of women to two. We have people from the US, Sweden and Denmark in the lead. As it looks now, it can be changed. We can not by nationality, says Peder Tuborgh.
