STOCKHOLM During the day LO union presented its review of the income gap between the Swedish power elite and the people. The study compiled the incomes of high-ranking in the state, municipalities, NGOs, trade unions, business and others in the “power elite” – which is compared with the income of an average industrial worker. Power elite’s average income per person has doubled since the 1950s. And it has not reduced when looking at fackpamp ‘own incomes.

The revenue of the country’s 200 most powerful has doubled since the 1950s, at least according to LO’s report, power elite – the gaps greater than ever . This is in comparison with the high-ranking in the business community that class differences are strikingly – a top manager in the business world has 1.5 million per month in income. This is related to industrial workers, who on average have a monthly income of 28,300 crowns – which means that the average CEO has a salary equivalent to 54 industrial workers wages.

The business community argues for high CEO salaries on the basis that they compete for head recruits in an increasingly global labor market, but that is the case dismissed by LO.

“Our study indeed shows that people in leadership positions who have a nationality other than that which is the company’s domicile is very unusual. Managing records to put in place primarily through domestic internal recruitment, “writes LO chairman Karl-Petter Thorwaldsson and LO economist Jeanette Bergström in Expressen Debate in connection with the publication of the report.

LO chairman, himself included in the report’s definition of the power elite, 1.2 million in annual income – or the equivalent of 4 industrial working wages, a percentage which has remained stable over time. LO’s CFO serves 1.4 million per year. Although compensation for leaders of other movements in the S-sphere have similar incomes, such as the Tenants’ Association Chairman of 1.1 million a year and ABF’s Association Secretary who also serves 1.1 million per year.

criticized the President of the Municipal, Annelie Nordström, who declined re-election to the presidency before the federal Congress in May 2016 has been SEK 1.0 million in annual salary. Between 15 000 and 20 000 members of the Municipal Association have left since the scandals surrounding the line was revealed, where the elected representatives of the union have been vacationing and eating lyxmiddagar on members’ expense.
