Löfven: The government is preparing for chaos – Aftonbladet

Gothenburg. Stefan Löfven and the government is preparing a backup plan for a new refugee crisis – which the EU refuses to cooperate.

According to the Prime Minister keeps time running out for a joint solution between the countries.

– If the EU does not agree, it is a great risk of chaos, says Löfven.

the statement from the Prime Minister Stefan Löfven (S) came during a visit to the Volvo Cars Torslanda, Gothenburg.

He said that the time for the EU countries to agree on the distribution of refugees begin to be key. Sweden, together with countries such as Austria and Germany hard pushed the issue that countries should take joint responsibility for refugees coming to Europe, but so far they have not come to a solution.

Working with back-up plan

Therefore, he concluded, is preparing the government now for the situation that may arise in Sweden, if countries fail to reach agreement.

– we must be prepared for if we do not get to this scheme as we want, and I’ve worked for since I became Prime Minister, he said.

Exactly what action, if so, may be willing to take, he wanted not say.

– it’s what we do now.

Stefan Löfven stressed that the government must first get to see the impact of measures already decided that internal border controls and iD checks.

the Prime Minister said that the number of refugees now coming to Sweden has been greatly reduced, but increased at the same time a note of caution that this may have causes other than government action.

– it’s the middle of winter now, we do not know what happens when spring comes and it gets quieter on the Mediterranean and it gets warmer.

“must have a parent host”

According to Stefan Löfven government will not accept a situation similar to that which occurred in the fall, when the majority of the 160 000 who applied for asylum in Sweden arrived.

– We need to have an orderly receipt, the Swedish welfare of school care must work, now that we got this right, we should not return to the situation. That is what we are doing to prepare for, he said.

Acclaimed Volvo workers

During the Volvo-visit test, he drove an XC90 hybrid, with bodyguards and passengers, and also got a tour where the cars are built.

Afterward, he praised the workers at the factory and said to be “proud” of the work performed.

Volvo CEO Hakan Samuelsson told during the visit that the factory now hitting record the number of units built, 225 000 this year, and that this has led to 2,000 new jobs last year and that they had to introduce three shifts to keep up with all the work.

Stefan Löfven, a former chairman of the union IF metal, stressed that this makes him happy.

– I’ve been here before in much tougher times, so it’s fun to see the turnaround, he said.

forgot his own minister

After the visit to the Volvo Stefan Löfven went on to talk about the Swedish environmental goals. Asked why no environment minister Åsa Romson (MP) would participate in the meeting said the Prime Minister that there are three ministers who are responsible for the UN’s environmental objectives are implemented in Sweden.

He mentioned the civilian Minister Ardalan Shekarabi (S) and Cooperation Isabella Lövin (MP) and excused himself then with the words:

– Right now I have forgotten who the third is.

he forgot the future, Minister Kristina Persson, who according to earlier surveys are one of the government’s most anonymous ministers.
