Plan route to Arlanda in flight drama – Aftonbladet

A passenger plane en route from Tenerife to Arlanda has forced an emergency landing in French Nantes.

Aftonbladet has talked to a witness who was on board the plane.

– I saw the fire from the left engine. It was open flames. I thought that now we die, says Shikofeh Ghobadi, 53rd

The state airport company Swedavia confirms that the plane – operated by Primera Air – has been forced to land in Nantes, but has no further information about the circumstances.

– I can confirm that the plane has landed because of a technical indication. There were 169 passengers on board. All are doing well and they will have to spend the night in Nantes, says Johan Live at Swedavia’s press office.

“Just waiting for that we would crash”

The passenger Shikofeh Ghobadi, 53, describes progress as a horror experience.

– I looked out the window and saw the fire from the left engine. I thought that now we die, this is the end, she says.

How does it feel now?

– It feels like I was born on new. I just waited for that we would crash.

149 of the passengers were tour operator Solresor clients. They will now have to sleep one night in a hotel in Nantes.

– They will then proceed back home tomorrow. Either with the same plan if they have time to locate the fault and repair it or with another aircraft, says Christian Nissen, president of Customer Support.

Will send out sms

At present it is unclear what time it will be.

– we will send out text messages to everyone as soon as we get new statement says Christian Nissen.

he tells Aftonbladet that he had just spoken with the head of the airline.

– the pilots heard a bang from the engine and tried to increase the power of the engine, but they felt it was not. They then decide to make an emergency landing at flyplatsen in Nantes.
