More experts would like to see lower starting salaries – Expressen

Labour Economic Council, AER, was formed last year and is an independent expert with the task of analyzing how the wage formation, employment and labor market policies affect labor market performance – but with funding from the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise.

The Chairman is Professor Lars Calmfors and the other members are professors Ann-Sofie Kolm, Tuomas Pekkarinen and Per Skedinger.

the report “Time for larger wage spread?” suggests AER that the state, over a three year period, remove the employer’s contribution for all those who are new to the labor market who can not get jobs.

the report also suggests that the State takes forward a specific work tax credit aimed at this group and employer partners will agree on much longer wages than the current starting salaries to those covered by the measure , called for entry level positions.
