Finland pushing hard line Greece – Swedish Radio

– Finland has a very tough line, said Daniel Ohlin, Brussels correspondent for the Swedish Yle.

In Finland the True Finns the past five years resisted all called loans to Greece . While Finance Minister Alexander Stubb will represent a party that is EU-friendly.

– Today was the Finnish Prime Minister out and said that there is no crack in the government, but the fact is that there probably are different lines within the government says Daniel Ohlin.

In voting in the Government of Finland made the decision that the country can not agree on the terms Greece has submitted.

How Finland could become the country that pushing Greece out of the euro?

– It is too early to speculate. But during the night it was clear that Finland does not belong to the minority. That is to say that other countries are of the same opinion as Finland.

– The day got Stubb asked if there is something that can change the position of Finland. He said it is the same as for other countries that Greece is facing tougher conditions and begins its legislation.

It sounds like it put Alexander Stubb in a tough situation. He must choose between government crisis at home and a line that is tougher than he wants to.

– Hiller has been in these contexts for twenty years so of course it’s tough to sit down with the other ministers and advancing Finnish line. But it is the mandate he has, and he admitted yesterday that it is very narrow. But the narrow mandate is something many other finance ministers also.
