Cars revoked hacker protection

Fiat Chrysler recalls 1.4 million vehicles in the US to update the software, in order to prevent hacker attacks. These include Jeep Cherokee, then two IT experts proved that they could remotely control the car.
The US traffic safety authority NHTSA notes that it is the first time that concerns about cybersecurity led to a revocation.
The NHTSA to investigate whether the car manufacturer’s solution is sufficient to protect car owners from getting their cars chopped.
