US figure lifted the Stockholm Stock Exchange – Västerbotten Courier

Economy. An unexpectedly strong jobs number from the US spurred on the Stockholm Stock Exchange on Friday . Upon closing had OMXS index rose 1.6 percent to 473.2.

Bank shares were among those who led the upswing and even the leading European stock markets pulled away after the statistics become known.

the figures from the US labor Department showed that the number of employed outside the agricultural sector in the US has increased by 287 000 in June compared with May. Economists had expected an increase of 175,000 people.

On OMXS30 list was Volvo, which was the strongest. The course climbed 3.6 percent and automotive giant has now taken back a large portion of the stud that followed Brexit.

The telecom company Nokia was also a winner, up 3.1 percent. SSAB has been a real winding tends share the past few weeks, but today went well for the steel company, shares rose 3.0 percent.

The big banks had a good day. Nordea was the star performer, up 3.0 percent, while SEB rose 2.7 percent.

In the power went off oil company Lundin Petroleum, which fell 0.3 percent and the mining company Boliden, whose share price fell 0.1 percent.

FTSE index rose 0.9 percent, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange’s DAX index was up 2.2 per cent while the Paris Stock Exchange’s CAC index rose 1.8 percent.
