Painter levied on strike – Sveriges Radio

Kaj Persson, ombudsman at Painters’ Union in southern Sweden, defends the union’s decision to take action.

– It’s all about getting to constructive negotiations in terms of pay but also on the work environment and that our apprentices to have a good education, says Kaj Persson, ombudsman at Painters’ union Title 2.

the union had demanded a wage increase of 3.2 percent, while the mediators only offered only 2.2 percent. The union feels that employers want to wind chords payroll, based on performance, which it opposes.

– Employer attack on our piece-is the big sticking point, says Kaj Persson.

In a press release says employers’ Painting companies’ CEO Bjorn Hellman to Painters’ Union through threats and lies trying to dictate the terms of the negotiations.
