Hong Kong orders for Saab – Swedish Radio

defense group Saab has received an order worth SEK 360 million, to renew a civilian marine traffic in Hong Kong waters.

The system, which is designed to monitor all vessel movements and the busy waters off Hong Kong, will be developed and produced in Linköping, Apeldoorn in the Netherlands and Hong Kong.

Gunilla Fransson, Head of Saab’s business area Security and Defence Solutions , said in a press release, among other things, that the contract underlines the confidence that exists for the traffic control system.

This is a sensor technology to track and monitor traffic in real time in Hong Kong’s territorial waters to marine safety will be better.

The order is said to be worth 360 million dollars and the system will be delivered in 2015 and in 2016.
