 (SIX) The European Commission is expected to launch a formal investigation to  clarify whether the tax agreement in 2003 that Amazon has in  Luxembourg constitute unlawful state aid, the Financial Times with  reference sources familiar with.       The Commission has previously investigated Apple's tax agreement  in Ireland and Fiats in Luxembourg and come to the conclusion that they constitute  unlawful state aid. An investigation into the coffee shop chain Starbucks  The Netherlands is in progress.       EU outgoing competition commissioner Joaquin Almunia confirmed on  'm FT data.
