company: Hewlett-Packard confirms the division of companies, reiterates forecast

(SIX) Hewlett-Packard on Monday confirmed earlier media rumors that the company should be split. According to a press release from IT giant company will split into two new listed "Fortune 50 companies." One company, which will include HP's business to focus on companies with IT infrastructure for companies, software and services, will be called Hewlett-Packard Enterprise. The second part will consist of HP's PC and printer and this would retain the brand HP and the current logo. HP's current shareholders will through the transaction, which is expected be completed by the end of fiscal year 2015, become shareholders in both Hewlett-Packard and HP Enterprise. HP also reiterated the forecast for the financial year 2014 on an adjusted earnings per share of between 3.70 to 3.74 dollars.
