Unemployment is increasing in Sweden – Business World

The number of unemployed in Sweden increased by 3,459 people to 213,051 people during the week of the 36th

In a comparison with the corresponding week a year ago, the number of unemployed decreased by 17,981 people (-17,910 last week), according to an update from the Employment Service.

Jobseekers in activity support programs amounted to 160,005 people, which was 1,308 fewer than a week earlier. Compared with a year ago, the number has decreased by 13,405 people (-13,483 last week).

The number of people who found work during the week amounted to 15,437, compared with 9,478 the week before.

The number of people registered as job seekers was 14,877, compared with 11,317 weeks before.

16,544 new vacancies were reported, compared with 14,061 weeks before.
