Plans of kidney matching

To increase the supply of kidneys that can be transplanted in Sweden, there are plans to introduce a so-called renal replacement programs, reports SR echo.
The idea is to be able to match potential donors and recipients across the country, as it already does when organs become available from a person who has died.
The system has been successfully tested in several other countries, according to the transplant physician Lars Wennberg Karolinska University Hospital.
