Two people were stabbed in the Stockholm underground night of Friday. A man has been arrested on suspicion of the two attacks.

As it looks now, it will be an assassination attempt and assault, says Lars Burman, station officer at Söderort Police in Stockholm, TT.

In the first attack was carved a man in the thigh at Bagarmossens station in the south of Stockholm, after a minor brawl. Forty minutes later stabbed another man in the stomach at the station Skarpnäck. The latter incident must have happened outside the metro station.

There should not be any danger to life, says Lars Burman.

Police received the first alarm at 2:40. The other knife cutting occurred at 3.20.
