Lowered forecasts for the Norwegian software company – Swedish Dagbladet

Opera Software’s sales in the second quarter is estimated to have been $ 146 million, while the adjusted EBITDA is calculated have amounted to 29 million dollars.

That compares with the 152 million and $ 31.9 million that was expected by analysts, according to SME Direkt compilation.

For the year 2015 expected sales in the range 600-618 million and an adjusted EBITDA of 108-118 million.

Both forecasts are downward revisions of Opera Software’s previous estimates, which guided for revenues of 630 650 million and 130-140 million for the full year.

The lowering of forecasts mirrors an unexpectedly weak development in the field of Mobile Advertising, which to some extent offset by the surprisingly great progress in sales to private customers.

Mobile Advertising lowers Opera also its forecast of 392-405 million from previously 445-455 million.

Opera Software announced simultaneously to acquire Latin American Bemobi, a subscriber service for mobile apps.

The Norwegian software company pays $ 29.5 million in cash plus performance-based “earn-out” payments of up to 110 million by the 2019th

Additionally announces Opera Software’s Board to engage ABG Sundal Collier and Morgan Stanley to consider strategic alternatives for the business, in response to interest from several quarters.

The company intend to bring news from these considerations during the second half of the 2015th
