Wind turbines are built today often 50-100 meters high, but Vestas Mitsubishi 8 megawatt tower on the Danish test facility Østerild in Thy is the record format – 220 meters high. It will begin service for real in Britain in the fall.

– turbines on a larger scale, it will become economically more effective. Some aspects will become more expensive with larger size, but others will be cheaper, says Peter Hjuler, director of DTU Wind Energy at Østerild, the news agency Ritzau.

possibly is concerned that few “monster turbines” as a neighbor can be calmed with the surrounding 80 meter long wings most is meant spinning the facilities at sea.
