M wants to introduce a new form of employment – Swedish Radio

The Moderates want to access the growing alienation among young people and newcomers by introducing a form of employment-called “first job-recruitment”.

– The important first job-recruitment is that the employer has time and opportunity to provide education when trying on someone who has not had a job before. Those who do not have jobs learn the job on the job and the employer will have time to give training, says Conservative leader Anna Kinberg Batra, launching the proposal in an article in Dagens Nyheter.

Is the idea then that the period shall be exempt from LAS?

– First Job-employment represents a new form of employment in the Employment Protection Act and it is valid for a limited period and in an orderly manner which has just been training and working at the same time, says Anna Kinberg Batra.

Moderates write today Dagens Nyheter that they want to see a new type of employment contract called first job-employment, which should be for young people and foreign-born people who have been in Sweden up to three years. The position must include some form of training program and will serve as an extended probationary period, but could apply up to 18 months as opposed to the 6 month period for trial periods today. The position must not give priority access and be able to be canceled with two weeks notice.

It also wants to see a first job deduction to make it more profitable to move from welfare to jobs and the Conservative Party Anna Kinberg Batra says that the proposal is presented as a measure to meet growing alienation among young people and foreign-born.

– We recognize the fact that Sweden has been a major problem in the form of the new exclusion that we now see emerging . There is a growing problem that there are too many young and foreign-born who have never received their first jobs in Sweden and then we have to get better at breaking the exclusion. That is why we put this new proposal, concludes Anna Kinberg Batra.
