Findus sold for billions – Business World

British Nomad Foods bought the food giant Findus European operations, reports the Financial Times.

Seller is a venture capital company LionGem Sweden 1 and the purchase price amounts to GBP 500 million, nearly 7 billion.

The purchase includes the Findus Group’s activities in Sweden , Norway, Finland, Denmark, France, Spain and Belgium includes the brands Findus, Lutosa and La cocinera.

The remaining part of the Findus group, which includes Young’s Seafood in the UK, are not included in the purchase, writes dn.no.

The transaction includes six production plants and around 1500 employees. The annual turnover amounts to around EUR 600 million, just over 6 billion.
