Bolund want to introduce amortization requirements “as soon as possible” – Business Wire

It says Finance Minister Per Bolund in a written comment to the news agency Direkt on Monday after the governors of the Riksbank, Finansinspektionen and the Swedish National Debt Office on DN Debate jointly demanded a repayment requirement should be introduced as soon as possible.

“The ambition of the government is to implement a change that allows the amortization requirements as soon as possible. It requires that we agree with the opposition. We believe that the opposition parties embrace the concerns of the expert authorities and I am convinced that there is an understanding that this is a problem we need to find solutions as quickly as possible, “he says.

He said that the Government shares the authorities’ view of it indicate the situation to come to a decision to reduce the risks of household debt, and that he is happy that the authorities also agree with that analysis.

“It’s the same analysis as the government has done,” says Per Bolund.

In a TT interview earlier this summer indicated Per Bolund that a bill could be added sometime in the spring, and thus the amortization requirements be introduced from mid-year in 2016.

At the same time, household debt , primarily for residential purposes, continued to rise at an increasing pace.
