The hearts of swedes taxi app challenges Uber – soon take in 3 billion a Week Business

It looks to be massively big game for Magnus Olsson and his Uber-competitor.

, Magnus Olsson’s taxi app Careem compete with Uber in the middle east – specifically in 10 countries and 25 cities.

Magnus Olsson and Mudassir Sheikha founded the company in 2012, both former consultants at McKinsey. Magnus Olsson suffered a brain hemorrhage in 2011, which was followed by that he thought through their life choices and decided to do something new, write Di Digital. Today is Careem based in Dubai.

Since the beginning of 2012 has Careem plant properly. Now, reports Bloomberg the company is to take in around 300 million dollars in capital, which corresponds to almost sek 3 billion.

Magnus Olsson’s taxi-app can be valued at over 1 billion dollars after the round, but so far has no definitive agreements reached. This is according to sources of Bloomberg.
