Sweden’s Ports and Hamnarbetarförbundet section 4 (Hamn4an) will connect to the national mediation office in the so-called voluntary mediation in order to try to find a solution to the conflict in the Port of Gothenburg.
During Thursday, it became clear that the national mediation office to be linked up in the conflict between APM Terminals and Hamn4an by the so-called voluntary mediation. Swedish Ports will act as a representative for APM Terminals during the mediation process. Hamn4an has announced that the industrial action which is still in force, against the Swedish Ports and APM Terminals will be interrupted during the time the mediation is in progress.
“We have great confidence to the national mediation office and hope that we will thereby arrive at a sustainable and long-term solution to the situation,” says Joakim Ärlund, ceo of Sweden’s Ports.
- To Hamn4an have accepted to cancel the stridsåtgärderna during the mediation process gives the mediators the conditions to engage in a constructive dialogue with the parties, ” says Joakim Ärlund.
Continuing industrial action
