Nine red deer on the run to be shot after they escaped from an enclosure in Ljungby reports on the Radio Kronoberg.

the Deer, a large male, three spetshjortar, a calf, and four does, were able to escape from the enclosure after they had taken him out through an open gate.

In the area there are not any wild established kronhjortstam and they are now going to nine find the runaways to be postponed. The decision has been taken by the provincial government because it is difficult to catch the deer.

"the Reason for the protective hunting is to prevent serious damage to the forest," writes the county administrative board in its statement of reasons for the decision.
