Unemployment continues to fall – Västerbotten Courier

Unemployment continues to fall. At the end of June, a total of 346,000 unemployed registered at the Employment Service, a decrease of 8000 in a year. Since last year, the proportion of registered unemployed decreased from 7.5 to 7.2 percent.

“We see that the labor market is strong and the unemployment rate continues to decline. Jobs are becoming more and many young people coming out of work. But while there are young people who have difficulty entering the labor market. Common to them is that they often lack a full secondary education, “writes Johan Bissman, acting head of research at the Employment Service, in a news release.

Unemployment continues to decline among those born in Sweden, where it is down to 4.1 percent in the end of June. Among foreign-born increases the contrary, unemployment slightly, to 21.1 percent.

“One explanation is that more newcomers wanting to enter the Swedish labor market,” the Employment Service.
