Spotify buy two startups. One is a social network and the other is founded by two former Google employees.
The Swedish streaming music service Spotify makes acquisitions of two companies , Cord Project and Soundwave. The acquisitions provide support for the company’s strategy to create experiences for music lovers, writes Spotify in a press release.
Some financial details of the transactions are not presented.
The teams from both companies will be included in Spotify’s product development.
The Dublin-based Soundwave is behind a social network for music. Cord Project is its part founded by two former Google employees. The company has developed a platform for voice messaging for mobile devices.
