The Social Network total revenue rose to 5.8 billion dollars (about 49.6 billion SEK) from 3.6 billion at the same period the year before. Net income rose to USD 1.6 billion during the quarter, € 696 million for the corresponding quarter of 2014.
The number of active users per month amounted to 1.6 billion, according to Facebook. This is an increase of 14 percent compared with the same period last year.
Facebook’s share rose six percent after trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
