Down on Asia’s stock markets – Vasterbotten Courier

The leading stock markets in Asia continued to fall on Tuesday. The Nikkei 225 index in Tokyo fell by 0.6 percent and the broader Topix index fell 0.7 percent. Greece continues to worry investors.

The Kospi index in Seoul fell by 0.7 percent and the weighted index in Taiwan dropped by 0.5 percent.

In Hong Kong, the Hang had Seng- index at 8 o’clock dropped by 0.6 percent and the Shanghai Composite Index had fallen by 2.3 percent.

Next week waiting a number of IPOs in China, which is expected to gobble up large amounts of capital. The Chinese authorities have also tightened controls to stop the illegal financing in the market.

In Hong Kong, where a vote on a new electoral system take place on Wednesday, there have been some political unrest.
