Finance Beach holiday in Spain – or metropolitan trip to London. There are destinations that attracts Swedes in the fall. The big loser is Turkey.
The Swedes wanderlust seems to be slightly higher this fall compared to last, according to the travel company Ticketmaster. Sun and sea holidays are most popular, but the fastest growing metropolitan travel.
– Many people want to have a break in work and everyday life and recharge your batteries, then to book a weekend, says Karin Starkman Ahlstedt, Communications at Ticketmaster.
London increased the most, up nearly 70 percent in bookings, which is seen as a clear effect of brexit and pound cases.
– the Swedes have more eye on the currency at London compared to many other places, and it depends very much on that it is a shopping town, says Karin Starkman Ahlstedt.
Spain continues to be popular, both Mallorca and Malaga greatly increases.
– Spain’s biggest holiday country, but this year we see Spain is one of the big winners that Turkey lost.
Turkey falls from fourth to eleventh place on the leaderboard. It is the first time Turkey is outside the top ten. Demand has fallen sharply, both as a result of the turmoil and the organizers have reduced supply, according to Ticketmaster.
