India has negotiated with Dassault to buy fighter jets of the type Rafale in four years. From the beginning, it was about to buy 126 planes, but the number has been slimmed down in the course of negotiations.
India buy 36 French plan is nothing that excludes that there can be a deal with Saab if the Swedish gripen aircraft, according to Saab.
“Our assessment, and other assessment, is that the need in India is greater than 36 plan,” says Sebastian Carlsson, press officer at Saab.
