Good weather conditions in late summer and autumn made up for a large grain harvest. The harvest rose overall by 14 percent this year compared with 2013, and landed at 5.7 million tonnes, according to figures from Statistics Sweden.
Winter wheat harvest is estimated at 2.7 million tonnes, twice as much as last year.
But the summer drought reduced yields in some parts of the country. In western Sweden also caused heavy rains problems for individual farms.
