– In retrospect , we know that Christmas sales in 2013, like most years, and probably even this year, hit a record. The fact that households is aiming to reduce its purchase does not mean they actually do, says Lisa Burden, the world around defends at the trade organization Swedish Trade.
According to the Swedish Trade Federation survey said almost every fourth asked that they plan to buy fewer Christmas gifts, Christmas food less and less Christmas decorations. Just about every tenth asked say they have plans to expand their Christmas celebrations.
Now it’s not just the question if some skinny julvanor in Swedish homes. Only three percent of respondents answered that they would not buy any Christmas presents at all.
