Bad loan risk for banks in the EU – Östgöta Correspondenten

The main risks for banks in the EU is bad loans and lower profits, beating the union’s banking authority, the EBA firmly in a risk – and vulnerability analysis.

A cloud on the horizon is the Italian banks, whose share has halved in the year and where the proportion of bad loans is 16.4 per cent. It is lower than Greece and Portugal (47% and 20% respectively), but higher than, for example, Spain (6%).

On the plus side has 131 banks have strengthened their capital buffers.
